My practice is excited to be involved in and help sponsor the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) walk this fall. We have a large number of inflammatory bowel disease patients in San Antonio, TX and spend a lot of time on control of this disease. Also, we have a separate research company dedicated to new IBD medications as well.
The Take Steps event will have live music, food, kids’ entertainment and educational materials to learn more about the CCFA and their efforts. I encourage you to dust off your walking shoes and come join us at this event as we help to raise awareness and money for this cause.

What is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (CCFA)?
The mission of the CCFA is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. This goal will only be accomplished with research, which requires funding. The Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis event is the CCFA’s largest annual fundraising event with over $60 million raised to date that helps to further CCFA’s mission. The 2015 San Antonio event has a donation goal of $30,000 that I hope we can reach. 82 cents of every dollar raised goes towards breakthrough research, public and professional education, and patient support services in communities across the nation.
